AICON x BeyondXpo 2025 Concludes with Strong Turnout and Global Voices on AI for Humanity and Creativity

Singapore, 10 October 2025 – AICON x BeyondXpo 2025 wrapped its two-day showcase on a high note at Beyond X Building, drawing more than 2,000 visitors across its public and professional programs. The event brought together innovators, creators, and industry leaders under the theme “AI for Everyone” — spotlighting how artificial intelligence can transform business, creativity, and community life.

The opening ceremony featured three keynote addresses that framed Singapore’s growing position in the global AI movement.

Guest of Honour Mdm Rahayu Mahzam, Minister of State for the Ministry of Digital Development and Information, delivered the opening address, highlighting the need to build an inclusive, AI-fluent workforce and the government’s efforts to increase AI literacy for all Singaporeans.

“Singapore’s Vision for an AI-Literate Nation,” emphasising the need to build an inclusive, AI-fluent workforce and the government’s ongoing efforts to enable digital participation for all Singaporeans.

Mr Ong Tze Boon, Chairman of ONG&ONG and Co-Founder of BeyondX, reflected on the evolution of BeyondX from a design platform into an ecosystem that bridges innovation and human experience. He credited Enterprise Singapore’s support and reaffirmed BeyondX’s commitment to cultivating an interdisciplinary community of “believers, dreamers, and disruptors” shaping the phygital future.

Dr James Ong, Co-Founder of AICON and Founder of the Artificial Intelligence International Institute (AIII), outlined the vision behind “AI for Humanity.” A pioneer with 4 decades in AI research, venture and advocacy, Dr Ong emphasised the importance of sustainable, ethical, and human-centric AI innovation and also AI literacy and fluency for the public while encouraging Singapore’s youth and creative sectors to lead in responsible AI adoption.

Creativity Meets Technology

The showcase’s public program was led by Jaze Phua, Co-Founder of AICON, Founder of Dear.AI, and GenTube. Known for his viral social content and AI-driven creative experiments, Jaze curated a series of social-media activations that reached thousands online, blending humour, storytelling, and generative art to make AI accessible to everyday users. 🎥 Watch: AICON 2025 Reel 1 | Reel 2

Workshops throughout the weekend covered topics from generative design and AI music to education, sustainability, and future workplaces. International partners included YTN World (Korea) IMI-Asia, e2i, reflecting the cross-regional collaboration that AICON champions.

Looking Ahead

Following this year’s success, the organisers announced plans for AICON 2026, expanding the platform’s global partnerships, youth programs, and creative industry dialogues.

“AI is not just a technology; it’s a cultural shift on everyday life for all of us. We want AICON to be where Singapore meets the world through AI creativity and purpose,” said Dr James Ong.

“AICON shows that AI belongs to everyone — from coders to creators to the curious. Our goal is to make AI fun, relatable, and human,” added Jaze Phua.
